At Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center, we are constantly continuing education, doing case studies, and diving head first into the latest canine cognition research. All our programs and techniques are science based and tailored to the individual dog and family. All of which is the basis for our training programs!
Recent scientific studies show that dogs display accelerated learning and retain up to 40% more information per session when training is done in shorter sessions roughly a week apart and, end in play or a fun activity.
This program is great for teaching basic and advanced skills like sit, down, come, stay, heel, leave-it, place, and more. It’s also a great program for helping dogs with socialization to humans and other dogs. Some behavior modification can be addressed during this program. Hands-On Package
If you like our Play and Train program but are looking for a way to be more involved with your pup's training then our Hands-On Package may be for you! Something that we hear frequently is, "I'm not sure who needs the training, me or my pup!" and we get it! This package is for those who want to learn and grow right along side their furry friend! - Hands-On Package: $595.00*
The Hands-On Package includes 7 sessions of the following reservation types:
- Private Lessons: A scheduled one-hour, one-on-one Private Lesson with your dog’s trainer. You and your trainer will discuss your goals, training tools, and techniques. Your trainer will also teach you everything you need to know to be successful throughout the remainder or your program. There are 3 of these sessions included in the package.
- Drop-off Day Training: A day of Day Care and a training session with your trainer. You will drop off your furry student in the morning and they will stay in our care for the remainder of the day enjoying a session of Day Care. Your student’s trainer will work with them throughout the day. You will receive feedback and homework from their teacher when you pick up at the end of the day. There are 4 of these included in the package!

The Play & Train program includes six sessions:
Session 1:
A scheduled one hour, one-on-one Private Lesson with your dog’s trainer. You and your trainer will discuss your goals, training tools, and techniques. Your trainer will also teach you everything you need to know to be successful throughout the remainder or your program.
Session 2 through Session 6:
A full day of Day Care and a training session with your trainer. You will drop off your furry student in the morning and they will stay in our care for the remainder of the day enjoying a full day of Day Care. Your student’s trainer will work with them throughout the day. You will receive feedback and homework from their teacher when you pick up at the end of the day.
This program also includes two Touch Base's with your trainer during the process of the Play and Train. These sessions are short and sweet to help communicate from the trainer how to continue the education at home as well as answer any questions that may have come up for your last conversation!
Your student’s trainer is available to you during and after every program. They are committed to helping your family and your dog succeed. Additional Play & Train days are available.
