Stay & Train

If you are traveling out of town or just have a busy lifestyle, you can take advantage of our Stay & Train program. We will begin your dogs training journey in our facility and provide you with the tools and experience to continue the training once you pick them up. While your dog is enjoying their stay, our trainers will teach them how to be a polite, well-behaved member of the family (or whatever training goals you may discuss with the trainer). Each dog is matched with a primary trainer that best suits their specific training needs however, our entire training team works together to make sure that every dog receives the most ethical and effective training possible. While the Stay & Train program is our most immersive option, it is important to remember that training does not stop there. Our trainers will help create a plan for you to ensure that your training transitions successfully into your home.

Stay & Train Packages

Our focus is based on your specific training goals. Examples provided below show progression should you sign your dog up for multiple weeks.

1 Week - $550

Cost includes 4 nights of lodging in a Hut, 5 days of training including an exit lesson, and a daily activity. Example of goals:

Sit
Down
Wait
Recall (Intro)
Loose leash walking & training tool selection
Stay (Intro)
Jumping/House manners
Polite greetings

2 Weeks - $1,250

Cost includes 11 nights of lodging in a Hut, 10 days of training including an exit lesson, one activity of your choice on Saturday or Sunday (group play, leash walk, or 1-on-1 play session). Example of goals:

Week 1 goals (adding distance)
Recall with distance
Loose leash walking with distraction
Stay (3 minute goal)
Intro to place

3 Weeks - $1,950

Cost includes 18 nights of lodging in a Hut, 15 days of training including an exit lesson, and one activity of your choice on Saturday or Sunday (group play, leash walk, or 1-on-1 play session). Example of goals:

Week 1 & 2 goals (add distraction)
Recall with distance & distraction
Loose leash walking on outings
Stay (3-5 minute goal)
Place with added distance (3 minute goal)

4 Weeks - $2,650

Cost includes 25 nights of lodging in a Hut, 20 days of training including an exit lesson, one activity of your choice on Saturday or Sunday (group play, leash walk, or 1-on-1 play session), and an exit bath. Example of goals:

All of the Weeks 1, 2, & 3 goals
Generalize Stay (5 minute goal with distractions)
General Place (5 minute goal with distractions)
Loose leash walking on outings
Requested Tricks

Exit Lesson - Include the Whole Family

Upon completion of your dog's Stay & Train stay with us, your dog's primary trainer will sit down with your family to catch you up. Your trainer will cover everything your dog learned while staying with us and how they got there. They will update you on your dog's progress toward their goals and all of the successes they have made. Your family will spend time practicing with your dog and their trainer to make sure your dog transfers everything that they learned at Paws & Play to your own home. We encourage you to take advantage of this time and ask any questions you may have but our support doesn't stop there - your trainer will be available via phone or email to answer your questions even after you leave.

They sent us pictures and report cards letting us know his progress, and when he was fed.
